高效酚类抗氧剂-欧稳德 AO-80

传统使用的受阻酚抗氧剂是以2,6-丁基苯酚为母体的衍生物,称作完全受阻酚一般认为受阻酚抗氧作用的关键在于它所含的反应性羟基,大的丁基基团空间位阻对酚羟基具有保护作用防止本身氧化损失。最新研究发现,酚羟基部位具有一个甲基和一个丁基的半受阻酚结构足以对其自身提供保护,同时,由于从一定程度上削弱了受阻酚羟基的空间位阻,还使新结构的抗氧剂发挥出意想不到的效果。

The traditional used hindered phenol antioxidants are derivatives of 2, 6-di-tert-butylphenol, called completely hindered phenol. It is generally believed that the key to the antioxidant effect of hindered phenols lies in the reactive hydroxyl groups contained in them. The steric hindrance  of large tert-butyl groups has a protective effect on phenolic hydroxyl groups and can prevent oxidation loss of itself. Recent studies have found that the semi-hindered phenol structure of a methyl group and a tert-butyl group in the phenolic hydroxyl group is sufficient to provide protection to itself. At the same time, the spatial steric hindrance of the hindered phenolic hydroxyl group is weakened to a certain extent, and the antioxidant with the new structure can exert unexpected effects.

OMNISTAB AO-80 is an excellent new product which represents the highest level of phenolic antioxidants developed in the end of 1980s and is widely used in polyolefin, HIPS, ABS, polyurethane, nylon and polyacetal. The organic combination of semi-hindered phenol and spironediol gives the product good thermal and oxygen resistance stability. In addition, because AO-80 has a high molecular weight, it can effectively prevent extraction and migration loss and improve the anti-oxidation lasting effect.

1是几种常见抗氧剂在PA-6的使用效果,可以看出AO-80抗氧效果明显要好于目前广泛使用的AN1098AN1010。抗氧剂的效果还体现在某些树脂老化时的减量,减量大小反映树脂的氧化程度。图2不同抗氧剂在聚缩醛中140℃热老化时的减量情况,从图中可以看出,AO-80性能明显优于抗氧剂AN1010略好于AN245

Figure 1 shows the application effect of several common antioxidants in PA-6. It can be seen that the antioxidant effect of AO-80 is significantly better than that of AN 1098 and AN 1010, which are widely used at present. The effect of antioxidant is also reflected in some resin aging reduction, the amount of reduction reflects the degree of oxidation of resin. Figure 2 shows the reduction of different antioxidants in polyacetal at 140℃ during thermal aging. It can be seen from the figure that the performance of AO-80 is also significantly better than that of AN 1010, slightly better than AN 245.

此外AO-80与硫代酯类抗氧剂具有协同效应。众所周知,受阻酚抗氧剂作为终止剂发挥抗热性能,抗氧剂过程产生的氢过氧化物聚合物的老化降解具有自动催化作用,而受阻酚本身不能够分解氢过氧化物所以常常需要同亚磷酸酯和硫代酯之类的辅助稳定剂并用。当受阻酚与硫代酯并用时,将发生协同效应聚合物(RH)在氧存在下分解为过氧化自由基ROO·受阻酚首先捕捉ROO·,而生成ROOH硫代酯的存在可将ROOH分解成稳定的ROH从而抑制了ROOH存在时的自动催化作用。与单独添加时相比,表现出了协同抗氧效果。

In addition, AO-80 has synergistic effects with thioesters antioxidants. It is well known that hindered phenolic antioxidants play a role in thermal resistance as chain terminators, and the hydroperoxides produced in the antioxidant process have an automatic catalytic effect on the aging degradation of polymers. However, hindered phenols cannot decompose hydroperoxides by themselves, so they often need to be used together with auxiliary stabilizers such as phosphite esters and thioesters. Hindered phenols have synergistic effects with thioesters. The polymer (RH) decomposes into peroxidation radical (ROO·) in the presence of oxygen, and the hindered phenol captures ROO· at first and generates ROOH. The presence of thioesters can decompose ROOH into stable ROH, thus inhibiting the automatic catalytic action of ROOH in the presence of ROOH. Compared with the single addition, it showed synergistic antioxidant effect.

The synergistic effect of hindered phenols and thioesters has been confirmed by many studies, and the recent results show that the synergistic effect of semi-hindered phenols on thiolesters is more obvious than that of completely hindered phenols.
